I Couldn't Make This Stuff Up!

December's nearly here!

So excited! Still here had a wonderful Thanksgiving and black Friday!

Book fair week

This was my week. Donuts, books, and decorating for Christmas.

Birthday Sisters

Natalie had one other wish on her birthday. Kelly's due date happened to be on Natalie's birthday. All week long she told everyone that Kelly was going to have her baby on her birthday. She loved feeling Kelly's tummy and the baby move while Kelly was pregnant. On Friday she continued telling everyone Kelly was having her baby today. As the day wore on it didn't look like it was going to happen.  I kept telling Nat, I don't know honey it might not be. And she would respond, yeah she is. Alright then. Kelly was so ready to have her baby girl.

We celebrated Nat's birthday and went to bed. At 11:45 my phone started buzzing with a text message. I was asleep but after it buzzed again, because I sleep with my phone in my bedroom every night just in case of emergencies, I rolled over and looked at my phone. It said this.

"Nat got her birthday wish! Baby girl arrived about 11:30."-Kelly

And even now typing that I get teary. Birthday sisters Nat calls it. Natalie Rose and Lilly Ann, there is no doubt there will be a bond between these two. I love it.

Oh and I have to share after meeting Lilly for the first time and getting to hold her Nat was in the car and said, "That baby is soo frickin' cute!"

Yep. I let it slide just that once because there's no denying that Lilly is absolutely beautiful, or as Nat also said, "She's adorable, which means really really cute." We're all pretty smitten with this little sweetheart. Maddie and Ben both love babies so there will definately be lots of us in line to hold baby Lilly. Congratulations Kelly, Matt, Emma, Isaac, and Wyatt! We're so happy for you all!

Now we just need to work on Jessica and/or Sara to have a baby on Maddie's birthday because she needs someone to share her birthday with. Benjamin shares his with Nathaniel. We love to share birthdays around here! It just makes the day that much more special.

Life is so so good!

6 years ago today Natalie Rose was born and our lives were forever changed for the better. Love you baby girl!

Still here and it's November

October's history and now we're looking at November. I'm still here but so so busy with life. I feel like I spent much of October running from one place to the next planning and in constant motion. Last weekend was the first weekend in months where we had nothing going on and I do mean nothing. I didn't even leave the house. Benjamin's last football game was the week before and he had a great season. It was so nice to just stay home last weekend!

We did the halloween thing and the girls' school had a trunk or treat which was actually fun. I'm not a big halloween fan but this was pretty painless. We took candy decorated the back of the suburban and the kids came by to get candy one hour we were in and out. Easy peasy. Halloween turned out a little different because Benjamin didn't get to go trick or treating this year. He is struggling to find his way grade wise in jr high. Pray we survive this. It's been a rough couple of weeks. Tim and I are having to figure out what the right thing to do for Benjamin is. We find ourselves struggling with him being a bright kid that isn't very motivated at times. We'll make it through this, it's just been kind of tricky and not a lot of fun. Someone should have told me parenting was going to be this hard. Seriously. Things are starting to turn around today so that's a plus.

I had a fantastic well needed break in Vegas with Mom and Barb a couple of weeks ago for my birthday. I got my sunshine therapy and we relaxed by the pool and had a great time. Now it's back to life. November is a busy month full of teacher conferences, Natalie's birthday (file this in I can't believe my baby will be 6 Friday), Book Fair, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Holiday Concerts, and many other little things and well the blogging may be scarce. Life is busy but really still so good.
